How to read this

Alaska elects its governor and lieutenant governor together, as a ticket, on Nov. 3, 2026. Under the state's top-four system four tickets are printed on the general-election ballot (Division of Elections candidate list, page updated Sept. 25, 2026): Dave Bronson / Josh Church, Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins / Zac Johnson, Treg Taylor / Candi English and Bernadette Wilson / Michael Shower; two more tickets are certified write-ins (Meda DeWitt / Christopher Steere and James Parkin / Ramadhani Greer). Each ticket's money is shown from its accounts with the Alaska Public Offices Commission (APOC). Several candidates raised money in a governor-only account before joining a ticket and then moved the remaining cash to the ticket's account; both accounts are listed, and the ticket account's 'raised' leaves out the money moved in from the candidate's own earlier account, so each dollar is counted once. Running mates' own accounts reported no money and are listed with zeros. Two statewide measures are on the Nov. 3 ballot: Ballot Measure No. 2 (repeal of open primaries and ranked-choice general elections) and Ballot Measure No. 3 (voter qualification); the groups registered with APOC for or against them are listed. One more ballot proposition group, the Alaska Ballot Fund, names no measure in its registration or report and is listed separately under 'Other'. Every figure comes from the summary block of the APOC reports saved here and was checked against the reports' itemized rows. On Alaska's form, income includes in-kind (non-monetary) contributions and candidates' loans; loans are taken out of 'raised' and shown separately, and in-kind contributions are shown separately but stay in 'raised'. The latest reports are the General 30 Day Reports (Aug. 9-Oct. 2, 2026, due Oct. 5). The next ones are the 7 Day Reports (Oct. 3-24, due Oct. 27, 2026); in the nine days before the election (Oct. 25-Nov. 2) contributions over $250 must be reported within 24 hours. Raised, spent, cash on hand, in-kind and loans are different measures and are never added together.

Raised, spent and cash on hand are different measures from the same reports and are never added together. Loans are shown on their own and are not counted as money raised. Periods differ between accounts when committees file on different schedules.

What is not here yet

  • Figures stop at Oct. 2, 2026 (the General 30 Day Reports). The 7 Day Reports (Oct. 3-24) are due Oct. 27, 2026, and 24-hour reports of contributions over $250 (Oct. 25-Nov. 2) were not yet due when the records were pulled on Oct. 20.
  • Meda DeWitt / Christopher Steere (certified write-in) had no General 30 Day Report in APOC's records on Oct. 20, 2026; their figures stop Aug. 8, 2026. A 24 Hour Report shows $17,500.00 more received Aug. 9-17, not included.
  • Legislative candidates (State Senate and House) are not included. APOC's report search can export the report summaries as CSV, but each export stops at 5,000 rows, the export leaves out the election and report ID, and the income totals include candidates' loans and in-kind contributions that can only be separated by reading each report's itemized rows (as was done here for the statewide tickets); not yet done.
  • APOC assigns no permanent committee number. Accounts are identified by the name as filed; the 'state_id' given for some accounts is the ID of the latest version of their APOC registration form, which changes when the registration is amended. Accounts without one are listed under the name APOC's report search shows.
  • No on 2: its first 2026 report carries $208,535.88 of earlier income and $193,583.77 of cash from reports before Jan. 8, 2026 that were not found under this name; 'raised' counts only Jan. 8-Oct. 2, 2026.
  • Repeal Now: only its 2026 election reports (from Feb. 2, 2026) are counted; its 2025 initiative-group quarterly reports ($263,352.45 income, Jan. 8, 2025-Jan. 7, 2026) are a separate period and are not added.
  • Alaska Ballot Fund (APOC group registration 7027) names no ballot measure in its registration or its one report, so it is listed under 'Other' and not with either measure. No on 2 reported $100,000.00 from 'SEIU 775 Ballot Fund' on Sept. 18, 2026, the day the Alaska Ballot Fund reported paying $100,000.00 to 'Protect Alaska's Elections'; whether these are the same money is not established.
  • Independent-expenditure groups, party spending and other outside money in these races are not included (for example, an APOC group named 'Bernadette will Build the Damn Roads' filed 24-hour reports in October 2026); only the tickets' own accounts and the ballot proposition groups are.
  • The Division of Elections site (elections.alaska.gov) sends an incomplete certificate chain; the candidate list was fetched by adding the issuing certificate authority's intermediate certificate (GlobalSign GCC R46 OV TLS CA 2025, downloaded from GlobalSign), with certificate checking left on. APOC's information site (doa.alaska.gov/apoc) answered automated requests with a bot check; its reporting calendars and candidate manual were saved from apoc.doa.alaska.gov.
