How to read this
Figures come from the Campaign Finance Reports each committee filed with the Arizona Secretary of State, read from the 'Summary of Activity' page of each filed report (PDFs from SeeTheMoney.az.gov, the Secretary of State's campaign finance site). Every figure is the 'Total to Date' column of the committee's latest report: the state's own cycle-to-date totals for the 2026 election cycle, which runs from Jan. 1, 2025 (or the committee's first report) to Dec. 31, 2026. We did not add up separate reports. 'Raised' is Total Income to date minus loans received and minus public funding from the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. It includes in-kind contributions at their reported value, because Arizona counts them in Total Income. Loans, Clean Elections funding and in-kind contributions are also shown separately as their own figures. For every statewide candidate the latest report is the 2026 Quarter 3 report (July 22-Sept. 30, 2026, due Oct. 15, 2026). Under the Secretary of State's 2025-2026 calendar, statewide candidates file no pre-general report. Their next report, 2026 Quarter 4 (Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2026), is due Jan. 15, 2027, so money raised and spent in the last weeks before the Nov. 3 election will not be public until then. That calendar leaves out any extra reports required under the Clean Elections Act. The two Proposition 320 committees file on the PAC schedule. Their latest report is the 2026 Pre-General Election report (Oct. 1-17, 2026, due Oct. 19, 2026), and their next one, the 2026 Post-General Election report (Oct. 18-Dec. 31, 2026), is due Jan. 15, 2027. Raised, spent, cash on hand, loans, in-kind contributions and public funding are different measures and are never added together.
Raised, spent and cash on hand are different measures from the same reports and are never added together. Loans are shown on their own and are not counted as money raised. Periods differ between accounts when committees file on different schedules.

What is not here yet
- Who is on the ballot: the Secretary of State's own 2026 general election candidate listing (apps.arizona.vote) could not be read. The Secretary of State's sites (azsos.gov, apps.azsos.gov, apps.arizona.vote) refused automated downloads on Oct. 20, 2026, and the listing page returned errors when read another way. The nominees were assembled from the Secretary of State's primary filing list and its general election write-in and withdrawn list (both read, not saved), unofficial primary results and a news outlet's general election line-up (leads only), and the committees on SeeTheMoney.az.gov. An independent check on Oct. 20, 2026 found every candidate here who is printed on the ballot (Kevin Thompson, Ralph Heap and Mike Cease included; Stephen Neal Jr. is a write-in) in the Citizens Clean Elections Commission's 2026 general election Voter Education Guide and in Pima County's general election candidate list, with the same party; the Secretary of State's own listing is still not checked.
- Lieutenant governor: in 2026 candidates for governor run on a joint ticket with a running mate for the new office of lieutenant governor. No separate lieutenant governor committees were looked for; not yet checked.
- Write-in candidates Gertritrude Gonzalez and Alice Novoa (governor, Republican) and Gerard Davis (superintendent of public instruction, Green) appear on the Secretary of State's general election write-in and withdrawn list, but no campaign committee for them was found in the Secretary of State's 2025-2026 candidate tables, so they have no row here. Stephen Neal Jr. (superintendent, No Labels), on the same list, has a committee and is included.
- Candidates' money from Oct. 1, 2026 through the Nov. 3 election is not shown: the statewide candidates' next regular report (2026 Quarter 4) is due Jan. 15, 2027. Extra reports that Clean Elections candidates may owe the Citizens Clean Elections Commission were not checked.
- Ballot measure committees: only two committees formed for or against a 2026 statewide proposition were found, both on Proposition 320 (No on Prop 320 PAC and Pay Teachers First). The Secretary of State's public search does not show which measure a committee registered to support or oppose, so committees were found by name (Prop, Proposition, proposition numbers and subject words) in the 2025-2026 committee table and by the ballot-measure expenditures filed against each statewide proposition. A committee with an unrelated name that has not yet reported spending on a measure could be missed. Protect Girls' Sports in AZ (committee 102215) has a name tied to the subject of Proposition 318 but has reported no ballot-measure spending, so it is not listed. Committees formed for measures that were removed from the ballot (Propositions 143, 145 and 212) are not included.
- Legislative candidates are not included. The Secretary of State publishes reports committee by committee (PDFs and an online search) and offers no statewide bulk download of report summaries to recompute figures from; not yet checked.
- Independent expenditures for or against the statewide candidates (by PACs, parties and others) are not included; only the candidates' own committees are shown.
- In-kind contributions: Arizona's summary page splits each report's figures into 'Cash' and 'Other' columns; we read 'Other' as non-cash (in-kind) contributions and expenditures. The state prints no to-date in-kind total, so the in-kind figure is the sum of the 'Other' column over each committee's consecutive reports, a different method from the other figures (which are the state's to-date totals).
- SeeTheMoney.az.gov's online candidate table gives totals that differ from the committees' own report totals for some committees (for example Alex For Arizona, Friends of Warren Petersen, MANSOUR FOR ARIZONA and Kimberly Yee for Superintendent of Public Instruction). Those table totals are not used here; every figure comes from the filed reports.
- Three 2026 interim reports listed for Alex For Arizona (committee 100625; report IDs 428178-428180) returned an error page instead of a PDF; the error pages are saved. Interim reports overlap the quarterly reports and are not used for any figure.
- The latest report of Elect Katie Hobbs (Amended 2026 Quarter 3, report ID 428984) is over 10 MB and is kept outside the repository; its address and sha256 are in raw/PULLS.md.
- Spending on the statewide propositions by groups that are not committees formed for one measure is not in the table above. Ballot-measure expenditures reported to the Secretary of State and shown on SeeTheMoney.az.gov for 2025-2026 (filer names as entered; different filers' amounts are listed separately and not added): Proposition 141: for: FREEDOM CLUB PAC $22,596.65; against: LD4 Democrats $916.32, DEMOCRATS OF THE RED ROCKS (DORR) $482.62, LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 20 DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE $460.94, D14 Democrats $16.04. Proposition 317: against: LD4 Democrats $916.32, DEMOCRATS OF THE RED ROCKS (DORR) $482.62, LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 20 DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE $460.94, D14 Democrats $16.03.
