How to read this
Georgia lobbyists register each calendar year with the Commission and list the clients they lobby for; since 2026 registrations and reports are filed in the Commission's PeachFile system. Georgia does not require lobbyists or their clients to report what lobbyists are paid or what clients spend on lobbying overall. What lobbyists do report, on Lobbyist Disclosure Reports due by the 5th of each month in 2026, are lobbying expenditures made for public officers or public employees: mostly meals, plus lodging, travel and other items such as group events for legislative bodies. The amounts on this page are those itemized expenditures, added up by the client name listed on each item. In all, 5,289 items totaling $955,368.10 were listed for 2026, under 394 client names; of the 2,050 client records, most show no reported expenditures. Some clients are lobbying firms or a lobbyist registered on their own behalf, as the Commission lists them. Names are as filed. A reported expenditure shows that a lobbyist spent money on an official or a group of officials; it does not show that any official acted because of it.
What is not here yet
- Georgia does not collect lobbyist compensation or clients' total lobbying spending, so no client can be ranked by what it paid to lobby; the amounts here are only the itemized expenditures on officials that lobbyists reported.
- The Commission's own per-row totals do not agree with its itemized expenditures: the Lobbyists list's Total Expenditures add to $952,814.39 and the Clients list's to $460,884.38, against $955,368.10 in the itemized export; many clients with itemized expenditures show $0.00 on the Clients list. The Commission does not explain the differences, so this page uses the itemized export only.
- The itemized export has 52 rows that repeat another row exactly; they may be separate identical purchases, so they are kept and counted as filed.
- Expenditures are grouped by the client name exactly as written on each item; the same organization spelled two ways, or with more than one client record, is not combined. Items have no client ID that would allow a firmer join.
- September reports were due Oct. 5 (grace period to Oct. 13) and October reports are not due until Nov. 5, 2026, so late filings and amendments after Oct. 21 are not included.
- Expenditures are the year's to date across every level of lobbying registration (General Assembly, state agencies, State Transportation Board, local, vendor); the export does not label an item's level, so the session cannot be separated from the rest of the year.
- Years before 2026 are in the Commission's earlier systems (EFile, 2022-2025, behind a login at recordsearch.ethics.ga.gov; legacy media.ethics.ga.gov roster, 2018-2023, whose report pages returned a server error on Oct. 21, 2026) and were not pulled; no year-to-year comparison is made.
- Individual Lobbyist Disclosure Report documents (PDFs) were not pulled; the export carries the itemized lines from them.
