How to read this
Figures come from the Form B-1 campaign statements that Nebraska candidate committees and ballot question committees file with the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission. Each figure is read from the Financial Summary page of the committee's latest statement on file on Oct. 22, 2026, using the latest amended version where one was filed. For most committees that is the 1st General statement, covering June 17-Sept. 29, 2026 (due Oct. 5); five candidates (Mike Foley, Cindy Chatt, Jana Hughes, Mike Jacobson, Teresa Ibach) had already filed the 2nd General statement covering Sept. 30-Oct. 19, 2026, so theirs cover that shorter period, with their June 17-Sept. 29 figures listed beside them. Two committees' first statements of the year (Brett Lindstrom, Bob Krist) cover Jan. 1-Sept. 29, 2026, and the ballot question committees' cover July 28-Sept. 29, 2026; each account gives its own period. Nebraska statements cover one reporting period each; every figure here is for that one period only, never a running total. 'Raised' is cash contributions received in the period (from the candidate, other individuals and all other sources); loans, interest, in-kind contributions and pledges are not counted in it. Loans received in the period are shown under 'Loans'; loans still owed at the close of the period, in-kind contributions and the state's own election-year-to-date totals are kept in our data file. 'Spent' is cash expenditures in the period and 'cash on hand' is cash at the close of the period. Every raised and spent figure was also compared with NADC's 2026 bulk transaction extract. The governor and lieutenant governor run as a ticket; the governor candidate's committee reports for it. Legislative candidates run without party labels (Nebraska's Legislature is nonpartisan and has one house; its members are called senators).
Raised, spent and cash on hand are different measures from the same reports and are never added together. Loans are shown on their own and are not counted as money raised. Periods differ between accounts when committees file on different schedules.

What is not here yet
- The 2nd General statements (Sept. 30-Oct. 19, 2026) are due Oct. 26, 2026; on Oct. 22 only five of the 54 committees with figures here had filed them. Money raised and spent after Sept. 29 is therefore missing for the rest.
- Late-contribution reports (Form B-5, single contributions of $1,000 or more received from Oct. 20) were not used.
- Report PDFs are produced on request by NADC's FirstTuesday system for the viewing session, so they have no fixed address; the source link for each account is the committee's NADC page, where the statement is listed under Filing History.
- No NADC committee was found on Oct. 22, 2026 for these candidates, so they are not in the tables: Rick Beard (governor), Paul Rumbaugh (secretary of state), Daniel Ebers (state treasurer), John Knight (auditor), and for the Legislature Dan Winter (District 24), Tobias Howard (26), Colby L. Woodson (28), Shaylee S. Scranton (42) and Jessica M. Landers (48). That means no committee was found in NADC's searches, not that the candidate raised nothing. The ballot question committee Save Nebraska Sports, registered Oct. 11, 2026, had not yet filed a statement.
- Ballot measures: only ballot question committees were reviewed. Money spent on the measures by PACs, political parties, corporations or other groups (reported on other NADC forms, such as independent-expenditure reports) is not yet checked.
- Cross-check with NADC's bulk extract: Mike Jacobson's 2nd General statement was filed Oct. 22, 2026, after the extract was made (2:26 a.m.), so it could not be checked. For Patty Pansing Brooks and Brian Hardin, cash expenditures dated June 17-Sept. 29 in the extract add to more than line 14 of their statements ($30,534.35 against $27,796.50, and $13,800.32 against $11,812.20); the statements' figures are used and the difference was not resolved. All other raised and spent figures match the extract to the cent.
- NADC's Political Race summary lists $2,750,000.00 in 'outstanding loans' for Jim Pillen for Governor, while Schedule C of the committee's 1st General statement lists $550,000.00 in loans unpaid at Sept. 29, 2026. The two NADC views were not reconciled; 'loans_outstanding' here is the Schedule C figure.
- The state's 'election year to date' figures (lines 10 and 17) are kept in the data file as filed; line 10 mixes cash contributions with loans, interest, in-kind contributions and pledges, so it is not shown as money raised.
- Candidates who ran only in the May 12 primary (for example Charles Herbster and Gary Rogge for governor, Bob Evnen for secretary of state) and races not required here (Public Service Commission, State Board of Education, University of Nebraska Regents, U.S. House and Senate) are not included.
