Chemical release from a tank in north Toledo keeps a 1-mile evacuation and 3-mile shelter-in-place order in effect
Toledo Fire & Rescue ordered the evacuation late Tuesday after a release of glycidyl methacrylate at a tank terminal on Progress Avenue. Officials said Wednesday afternoon the release could continue for hours and that testing at the scene had not found anything harmful to human health.
