Updates, newest first

  1. Aug. 4, 2026 LPM reported that the campus was under construction and that Louisville's pending moratorium would not affect it. (Louisville Public Media, Aug. 4, 2026)
  2. June 2026 EPIC put lifetime investment at about $11 billion and said the first 130 MW phase targets commercial operation in late 2026. (Kentucky Energy Planning and Inventory Commission, June 2026)
  3. March 5, 2026 The Louisville Planning Commission approved revised plans for seven buildings, voting six in favor after more than 20 residents spoke against it; because the land is zoned heavy industrial, no Metro Council vote was needed. (Louisville Public Media, March 5, 2026)
  4. Jan. 17, 2025 PowerHouse and Poe announced a campus of about 154 acres on Camp Ground Road near the Cane Run plant, with 335 MW of secured power rising to 402 MW and a first 130 MW phase due in October 2026. (Data Center Dynamics, Jan. 17, 2025)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Plans first approved in summer 2025 were revised in 2026 to add properties and make the server warehouses two stories (LPM). Acreage is 154 in the January 2025 announcement; Spectrum News 1 described a 150-acre campus in July 2026.
