Updates, newest first

  1. Aug. 6, 2026 DCD reported Blue Fern's plan for a 20 MW, 100,000-square-foot data center and said it was unclear whether the moratorium applies, given the site's development agreement. (DatacenterDynamics, Aug. 6, 2026)
  2. July 31, 2026 Cle Elum's council unanimously adopted a six-month moratorium on data center applications; the mayor said an application at Bullfrog Flats would be reviewed under the rules in force at the time. (Daily Record (Ellensburg), Aug. 4, 2026)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Under 50 MW; kept because it set off local moratoriums.
  • The Daily Record describes a business park of about 950,000 square feet at Bullfrog Flats; how much of it would be data center space is not stated.
