Updates, newest first
- July 21, 2026 The CEC issued a notice that it will prepare an environmental impact report for 42 diesel backup generators (25-SPPE-02). (Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation, CEQAnet, July 21, 2026; California Energy Commission, undated)
- Nov. 1, 2025 Baxtel reported Goodman had bought the site and planned two buildings totaling 414,000 sq ft with up to 97.3 MW by 2028. (Baxtel, Nov. 1, 2025)
- June 30, 2025 An application for an 81-foot data center of about 206,000 sq ft at 350 W. Trimble was filed with the city (CP23-013). (City of San José, Planning Division, undated)
Conflicts and open questions
- Square footage differs: about 206,250 sq ft on the city list, 414,000 sq ft per Baxtel (possibly two phases). Site acreage: 28.5 (CEC) vs. 45.8 for the whole property (Baxtel).
- That GIC San Jose LLC is Goodman's entity is inferred from Baxtel's report and a shared contact with GIC Vernon LLC, not confirmed.
