How to read these results

Votes counted so far. Every number is the state’s count at the time shown at the top of the page, from the Florida Division of Elections file 20261103_ElecResultsFL.txt. We pull it every two minutes on election night.

Precincts reporting is the state’s own count of precincts that have reported. Early and mail ballots are usually counted first, so a county can show votes with no precincts reporting yet. There is no “percent of expected vote”: the state’s file does not include one, and we do not estimate it.

Leading means ahead in the count so far, not a winner. A race within 0.5 percentage points goes to a machine recount; within 0.25 points, a manual recount. The Elections Canvassing Commission certifies the results on Nov. 17.

Amendments need 60% of the vote to pass.

Polls close at 7 p.m. local time: 7 p.m. ET in most of Florida and 8 p.m. ET in the western Panhandle (Central time).

If the state’s file is late or fails our checks (a missing race, more precincts reporting than exist, a total that drops sharply), we keep showing the last good count and say so at the top of the page.
