Who is behind it
The record, newest first
The Lincoln Journal Star reported the campus was effectively online, made up 11% of LES retail revenue and had driven 423 MW of new wind generation. (Lincoln Journal Star, Feb. 17, 2026)
Google said the Lincoln campus, on roughly 580 acres, was still under construction. (Nebraska Examiner (via KRVN), Nov. 30, 2024)
A Lincoln business group asked city leaders to keep the Google campus from raising other customers' power rates; an LES planner said the utility's build-out would serve Google without unduly burdening existing customers. (KOLN 10/11 NOW, Sept. 26, 2024)
Google publicly confirmed the Lincoln project, described as a $600 million data center, with the mayor welcoming it. (KOLN 10/11 NOW, Sept. 26, 2024)
Agate LLC, a company with a Delaware address on its state filings, closed on about 600 acres northwest of the 56th Street exit for more than $18.6 million, AP reported. (KLKN-TV (Associated Press), Nov. 5, 2019)
The Lincoln City Council gave final approval to annex about 576 acres and rezone them from agriculture to an employment-center district for a 2 million-square-foot data center whose owner was not named. (KLKN-TV, Sept. 9, 2019)
Conflicts and open questions
- Acreage is given as about 576 acres (annexation), about 600 acres (land purchase) and roughly 580 acres (Google, 2024).
- Nebraska Examiner's August 2023 report on Google's confirmation could not be opened; the announcement is sourced to later KOLN reporting.

- News reports; primary records not yet obtained
- Size class
- 50 MW or more (tracker scope)
