   State returns Collier County’s Sabal Palm golf course amendment as withdrawn, saying the county adopted it after the 180-day deadline

   Commissioners approved the private golf course on a 169-acre former citrus grove 5-0 on Sept. 22. In an Oct. 7 letter, FloridaCommerce said the vote came too long after the state’s July 2025 review, so the amendment is deemed withdrawn.
