Core Scientific Muskogee campus
Core Scientific's AI data center campus at Port Muskogee, where a 70 MW CoreWeave building is running and the company plans to grow to about 1.5 GW after buying the neighboring 440 MW Polaris site. Also known as: Polaris Technology, Polaris DS LLC.
Who is behind it
The record, newest first
Core Scientific completed the Polaris purchase for about $444 million. (Core Scientific, Inc. (SEC Form 8-K), Aug. 14, 2026)
An investor deck showed about 70 MW billing for CoreWeave at Muskogee as of mid-July and about 82 MW leased to AMD, with initial delivery expected in the second half of 2027. (Core Scientific, Inc. (Form 8-K exhibit), July 28, 2026)
Core Scientific agreed to buy Polaris DS, which holds 440 MW of contracted OG&E power, and said it had secured about 250 acres to grow the campus to roughly 1.5 GW gross; a second, unleased 82.5 MW building was under construction for delivery in late 2027, and the 70 MW building was in final commissioning. (Core Scientific (Business Wire), May 6, 2026; Data Center Knowledge, May 7, 2026)
Core Scientific's annual report, signed March 2, 2026, listed Muskogee as its one Oklahoma facility, under development for colocation, with 100 MW of OG&E gross capacity. (Core Scientific, Inc. (SEC Form 10-K), March 2, 2026)
Core Scientific and Port Muskogee broke ground on a 100 MW building (about 70 MW critical IT) for CoreWeave, targeted to open in 2026. (Core Scientific (Business Wire), Nov. 18, 2024)
KJRH reported Polaris Technologies investing $100 million in a 200 MW bitcoin mining site on 42 acres at the Griffin Industrial Park, drawing on a 1,000 MW substation OG&E had built there. (KJRH 2 News Oklahoma, Feb. 13, 2024)
Conflicts and open questions
- Acreage (250) is the land Core Scientific said it had secured for the expansion; total campus acreage was not stated. Polaris's original site was 42 acres (KJRH, 2024).
- Opened sources do not say whether the Polaris site is contiguous with the CoreWeave building; KTUL places Polaris across the street from Project Scissortail. Treated as one campus because Core Scientific describes it as its Muskogee campus.
- Polaris's 2024 plan was a bitcoin mine; Core Scientific describes the acquired site only as in-service power.
- Delivery timing for the 82.5 MW building: Q4 2027 (May 2026 release) vs. beginning in the second half of 2027 (July deck and Aug. 2026 release).
- The 250 acres reported are land secured for the expansion, not the whole campus, so no campus acreage is shown; the 70 MW critical IT figure covers the CoreWeave building only, so no campus-wide IT load is shown.
The full record
- Status note
- A 70 MW building leased to CoreWeave was billing by mid-July 2026; an 82.5 MW building, leased to AMD per the July 2026 investor deck, is under construction for delivery starting in the second half of 2027. Core Scientific closed its purchase of Polaris DS (about 440 MW of in-service grid power) on Aug. 14, 2026 and plans about 1.5 GW gross.
- Power note
- Planned gross power at full build (about 1.0 GW leasable), per Core Scientific. Polaris DS brings about 440 MW of in-service gross grid power; the CoreWeave building is 100 MW (about 70 MW critical IT); the 10-K listed 100 MW of OG&E gross capacity at Muskogee before the Polaris deal.
