The record, newest first

  1. KTUL reported Project Scissortail under construction across the street from the Polaris data center. (KTUL, Nov. 21, 2025)

  2. Muskogee County commissioners unanimously approved an economic development agreement with the City of Muskogee tied to the Scissortail project, according to a meeting summary. (Citizen Portal, April 21, 2025)

  3. The City of Muskogee published notice of April 3 and April 14 hearings on the Scissortail Data Center project plan: a multi-phase data center with at least $1 billion per phase on 419 acres, with three incentive districts. (City of Muskogee (public notice in the Muskogee Phoenix), March 18, 2025)

  4. A city project summary described Pioneer Trail LLC, acting for an unnamed leading U.S. data center operator, planning up to four phases of about 300,000 square feet each on about 419 acres. (City of Muskogee (via Oklahoma Digital Prairie), 2025)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Google's link is unconfirmed. City documents name only Pioneer Trail LLC acting for an unnamed operator. The Muskogee Politico blog (Nov. 22, 2025) wrote that Google is behind Project Scissortail, and Google's announced campus near Summit is in the same general area of south Muskogee, but KTUL's Nov. 21, 2025 report described Scissortail separately from Google's announcement, and no news outlet or public record opened confirms the link (sources ok-a-faught-scissortail-2025-11-22, ok-a-portmuskogee-google-2025-11-20, ok-a-kjrh-google-muskogee-2025-11-20). Confirm before naming Google.
  • If Scissortail is Google's Summit-area campus: OG&E has contracts to serve three Google data centers in Muskogee County and Stillwater (about 1 GW over five years, 1.2 GW by 2036), and News On 6 reported in Sept. 2026 that neither Muskogee County Google campus was operating (ok-a-oge-google-2026-04-30, ok-a-kgou-oge-google-2026-05-01, ok-a-newson6-muskogee-2026-09-08).
  • City adoption of the plan after the April 14, 2025 hearing was not confirmed from an opened record; the April 21, 2025 county approval comes from an automated meeting summary.
  • sqft (1.2 million) is four 300,000 sq ft phases in the city summary. No MW figure found. Utility not named in opened records for this site.
  • The city's Project Scissortail page could not be fetched; the Digital Prairie copy of the city summary was used.
  • Scissortail is a separate campus from Core Scientific's, across the road from the Polaris site Core Scientific bought.
