Who is behind it
The record, newest first
UVM's research computing page describes the data center that hosts the VACC as cooled with outside air, without evaporative cooling (page undated; checked on this date). (University of Vermont, Vermont Advanced Computing Center, Oct. 28, 2026)
UVM announced an upgrade of its research supercomputer and said the cluster sits in the university's primary data center in South Burlington. (University of Vermont (UVM Today), July 31, 2019)
Conflicts and open questions
- The VACC page gives a CO2 range for running the cluster on fossil power, not a power figure, so mw stays null.
