Vantage Data Centers Wyoming campus (Project Latigo)
Vantage Data Centers' proposed 480 MW campus on about 1,800 acres along Terry Ranch Road south of Cheyenne, rezoned to a planned unit development by Laramie County in September 2026. Also known as: Project Latigo, Project Ladigo, Vantage Wyoming Campus.
Who is behind it
The record, newest first
County commissioners approved the Vantage rezoning from Land Use to PUD after questions about the water supply and how the water-restoration pledge would be monitored; the only Land Use to PUD hearing on that day's agenda was File 26-451, covering parts of Sections 1, 2, 3 and 11, T12N R67W, and Section 35, T13N R67W. (Laramie Boomerang (Wyoming Tribune Eagle), Sept. 5, 2026; Wyoming Tribune Eagle (newsletter), Sept. 4, 2026; Citizen Portal, Sept. 1, 2026; Laramie County Board of County Commissioners (SpeakUp agenda portal), Sept. 1, 2026; Laramie County Board of County Commissioners (SpeakUp agenda portal), Sept. 1, 2026)
Citizen Portal reported that the Laramie County Planning Commission forwarded a recommendation on Vantage's roughly 1,800-acre Land Use to PUD rezoning, with staff recommending approval on condition that agency review comments be addressed before a site plan. (Citizen Portal, Aug. 13, 2026)
Cheyenne LEADS listed 'Project Latigo/Vantage' among planned data centers in Laramie County. (Cheyenne LEADS, Aug. 4, 2026)
Vantage held a public open house in Cheyenne for its proposed Wyoming campus of three to five buildings, saying it had not yet named a customer. (Wyoming Tribune Eagle (Rawlins Times), July 1, 2026)
Conflicts and open questions
- Vantage link: the county agenda for File 26-451 does not name the applicant. Vantage is named by the Laramie Boomerang (published Sept. 5, 2026, reporting a Tuesday commission vote), the Tribune Eagle newsletter (Sept. 4, 2026, 'this week's' commission meeting) and Citizen Portal (Sept. 1, 2026). File 26-451 was the only Land Use to PUD zone change on the Sept. 1 agenda, so the match is strong but inferred. Evidence set to reported for that reason.
- The vote count was not given in an opened source.
- The open house date is inferred: the July 1, 2026, article says it was held 'Friday evening' (June 26).
- Acreage: 1,835 acres (Boomerang), about 1,800 (open house; planning commission).
- The project name is spelled 'Latigo' by Cheyenne LEADS and the Boomerang and 'Ladigo' in Citizen Portal summaries.
- A separate developer (Langan) has been reported eyeing a campus near Terry Ranch Road and I-25; it is not this project.
- Coordinates approximate, placed along Terry Ranch Road in T12N R67W near the Colorado line; parcels not mapped.
