Conflicts and open questions
- The city's ALPR program page says the department publishes monthly and quarterly ALPR usage reports under SB 1516 (2026) and that searches are logged and audited. The page names no vendor. Marion County Sheriff's August 2026 audit lists Salem PD among the agencies sharing its Rekor network, and Keizer's page describes an internal camera network operated in partnership with Salem. Salem's own vendor was not confirmed.
