The record, newest first

  1. The zoning hearing board opened hearings, rejected opponents' preliminary motions and planned to continue in September. (WHYY, Aug. 7, 2026; The Philadelphia Inquirer, Aug. 7, 2026)

  2. Township council publicly criticized the developer's zoning challenge and released more than 40 proposed conditions; the zoning hearing board decides the case. (WHYY, July 27, 2026)

  3. Reporting on O'Neill's King of Prussia proposals said his MLP Ventures is behind them and noted he had resubmitted the Plymouth plan. (The Philadelphia Inquirer, July 15, 2026)

  4. A new special exception application was reported for the same 2 million sq ft plan, about six months after the first was withdrawn. (The Philadelphia Inquirer, May 5, 2026)

  5. The first special exception application was withdrawn at the zoning hearing board after the owner's lawyer questioned the buyer's standing. (The Philadelphia Inquirer, Nov. 18, 2025)

  6. The township planning agency unanimously declined to recommend the proposal. (WHYY, July 27, 2026)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Separate campus from tracked mlp-ventures-upper-merion (different township, separate zoning case), same developer: the Inquirer (July 15, 2026) says O'Neill's MLP Ventures is behind the King of Prussia sites; DEP lists this site as '900 Conshohocken Rd. Data Center (MLP Ventures)' (#10000059). Local reports name O'Neill, not an entity, for this site.
  • Power not reported (on-site gas and diesel generation planned); site is 66 acres, under the 100-acre threshold, and recorded because it is contested.
  • No hearing result after August 2026 found.
