The record, newest first

  1. Compass registered a $100 million interior fit-out of Building 10 at 590 Austin Blvd, listed to finish in August 2028. (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Oct. 15, 2026)

  2. State filings showed three more buildings (5-7) totaling over 750,000 sq ft and about $300 million, following Buildings 3-4; Compass had added 375 acres to its Red Oak holdings. (The Dallas Morning News, Sept. 27, 2024)

  3. Compass registered DFW III-III Building 6 at 500 Austin Blvd, about 252,000 sq ft and $100 million, with work listed from April 2024 to December 2026. (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Sept. 10, 2024)

  4. Compass announced it had bought 225 acres in Red Oak for its second Dallas-area campus, sized for more than 350 MW of IT load, with a first 6 MW building due in mid-2020. (Compass Datacenters, Jan. 29, 2020)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Acreage is unclear: 165 acres bought in 2019, described as 225 acres in 2020, plus 375 acres added later (Dallas Morning News).
  • Separate from Google's Red Oak site (google-ellis-county) and the DataBank Red Oak campus mentioned in the same coverage.
  • TDLR lists Building 6 under Compass Datacenters DFW IIIF LLC and Building 10 under Compass Datacenters DFW III-I LLC.
  • Status set to construction from the latest record; the campus is very likely partly operating, but only commercial trackers said so among pages we found. Switch to operating once a news or company source confirms a building in service.
