Conflicts and open questions
- Ordinance 26-16 does not name Knox Ranch or a data center; its acreage, Knox Road and Meadow Wood Road boundaries and adoption date match news accounts of the Knox Ranch rezoning.
- The Star-Telegram reported a Bilateral Energy TCEQ permit (applied for in June and approved in July, apparently 2025) for eight simple-cycle turbines and 87 linear generators at 1225 Meadow Wood Road; on-site generation is not data center load. That article showed no date.
- KERA's July 2026 report names Dallas-based Bilateral Energy as the company behind Project Patriot; the April report named it only as operator of the toured data center.
- No MW figure for the data center was found.
- Dates of the lawsuit (Monday before the April 10 article), recall filing (Monday before the July 16 article) and council meeting (Monday before the Sept. 29 article) are inferred; the July 2025 county vote and the annexation are month-only.
- The Aug. 17 event uses the article date; the filing date was not given.
- Acreage is reported as about 2,000 to 2,100 acres; the ordinance gives 2,084.
