Conflicts and open questions
- Sharing: ABC4 reported the office shares data with agencies "from Florida to Washington" and receives data mainly from Utah agencies, plus police in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and Fort Worth, Texas.
- Policy per ABC4: release of Flock data to the public requires the sheriff's approval and consultation with the county attorney. ABC4 gives Flock's 30-day default retention but not Wayne County's own setting.
- KUER lists Wayne County among Flock's payers from the state's Transparent Utah data without naming the state beside the county, and does not say what the payments cover. ABC4 reported the sheriff's office published its Flock contract, but the story gives no terms. No commission record was found.
- These figures are as ABC4 reported them from the office's transparency portal on Aug. 6, 2026.
