The record, newest first

  1. Data Center Map and Baxtel name Apple as the seller and as a continuing tenant. PeeringDB also lists T5 at 39800 Eureka Drive. (Data Center Map, undated; Baxtel, undated; PeeringDB, undated)

  2. Directories disagree on the second building. Data Center Map says expansion work is underway, datacenterHawk says no leasable power is under construction, and Baxtel lists it as planned. (Data Center Map, undated; datacenterHawk, undated; Baxtel, undated)

  3. T5's undated flyer, with a May 2022 file name, listed 8.5 MW as available from March 2023 on a 14-acre campus with room to reach 49.1 MW. (T5 Data Centers, undated)

  4. Data Center Frontier reported the deal and said the enterprise tenant was still in the building. (Data Center Frontier, Oct. 9, 2020)

  5. T5 announced it had acquired the 17 MW building from an enterprise it did not name, and planned a 180,000-square-foot building of 32.1 MW. (T5 Data Centers, Oct. 6, 2020)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Under 50 MW, even with the planned building.
  • T5's own pages give only Newark. The street address comes from Data Center Map, datacenterHawk, Baxtel and PeeringDB; Data Center Map files the site under Fremont.
  • Data Center Map and Baxtel say the seller was Apple and that Apple remains a tenant. T5 says only that the building came from a Fortune 100 company, and no record we opened names Apple.
  • T5's flyer gives 208,000 square feet for the campus, which differs from the sum of the two buildings' floor areas, so only the existing building's size is shown. Directories give that building as 128,566 square feet.
  • None of the directory pages on the second building is dated. Two say it is planned and one says it is underway; T5's pages we opened give no start date.
