The record, newest first
QTS's Phoenix 2 page describes an 80-acre campus of five buildings (DC1-DC5) at 1200-1500 N. 40th St. with 210 MW+ of critical capacity. (QTS Data Centers, May 13, 2026)
QTS held a groundbreaking for PHX2 DC5, the fifth planned data center on the 40th Street campus. Neither QTS nor DCD prints the year; 2023 is inferred because DCD dates QTS's Glendale land purchase to 'last year', and that purchase closed in July 2022. (QTS Data Centers, March 21, 2023; Data Center Dynamics, March 21, 2023; Commercial Property Executive, May 24, 2024)
Conflicts and open questions
- Reported acreage differs: 80 acres (QTS page) vs 85 acres (DCD, CPE).
- DCD also mentions a separate operating QTS facility at 120 E. Van Buren St. downtown (32 MW). It is not part of this campus and is not tracked here.
- Stack's PHX02 campus is also near 40th St. and Loop 202. It belongs to a different operator and is tracked separately as stack-phx02.
- Groundbreaking year (2023) is inferred, not printed in either source; treat the 2023-03-21 date as approximate to the year.

- QTS's page lists five data centers (DC1-DC5) on N. 40th St. DCD (2023) described the 42 MW building at 1200 N. 40th St. as the first building of the campus, and Commercial Property Executive (May 2024) said a new phase was under construction. I found no completion date for DC5.
- Power note
- QTS's page gives 210 MW+ of critical campus capacity. Earlier DCD reporting said the planned campus was 280 MW+, with a 42 MW existing 40th Street facility.
