The record, newest first

  1. Baxtel lists SVY01A and SVY01B as operating and SVY01C and SVY01D as under construction. Data Center Map and Baxtel put SVY01C at 1849 Fortune Drive, and Data Center Map and datacenterHawk put SVY01D at 2400 Ringwood Avenue. (Baxtel, undated; Baxtel, undated; Data Center Map, undated; datacenterHawk, undated)

  2. STACK's page lists four buildings on 19 acres and 100 MW for the campus. (STACK Infrastructure, undated)

  3. The Bay Area air district authorized 39 backup diesel generators for the expansion. (Bay Area Air Quality Management District, filed on CEQAnet, Jan. 16, 2025)

  4. STACK announced it had broken ground on the expansion, which it said takes the campus to 100 MW. (STACK Infrastructure, March 26, 2024)

  5. San José's Planning Commission was set to review files PDC22-001 and PD22-001, with the City Council listed for May 9. The city page does not state the outcome. (City of San José, undated; DatacenterDynamics, April 26, 2023)

  6. The Energy Commission approved the small power plant exemption in docket 21-SPPE-02, according to a later air district notice. (Bay Area Air Quality Management District, filed on CEQAnet, Jan. 16, 2025)

  7. The Energy Commission released a draft environmental report on the Trade Zone Park expansion on about 9.8 acres. (State Clearinghouse (CEQAnet); California Energy Commission lead agency, Jan. 27, 2023)

  8. STACK's revised filing with the California Energy Commission described 60 MW of IT load and a peak electrical load of 90 MW for two data center buildings. (California Energy Commission, docket 21-SPPE-02, Sept. 19, 2022)

Conflicts and open questions

  • STACK's page lists SVY01A at 140,000 sq ft and 9 MW, SVY01B at 240,000 and 32, SVY01C at 357,000 and 36, and SVY01D at 300,000 and 24.
  • State filings and DCD call the expansion's data centers SVY05 and SVY06, and DCD treats SVY01 as next door. STACK's own page counts four SVY01 buildings and does not mention the expansion's addresses. The tie between SVY01C and D and the expansion comes from directories, which give them the filing's addresses; datacenterHawk's 220,012 square feet for SVY01D equals the filing's SVY05. No filing or STACK page says the names changed.
  • Backup generation is given as 90, 91 and 99 MW across filings. These are generator figures, not campus load.
  • Filings differ on whether the expansion's data centers have three or four stories.
  • The Fortune Drive address of the older buildings comes from Data Center Map and Baxtel. STACK's address in the air district notice is also 2001 Fortune Drive, and that notice adds 2000 Trade Zone Boulevard to the expansion site.
  • This is a separate campus from STACK's Hayward site and from SVY02 in Santa Clara, which STACK lists at 48 MW. SVY02 is not covered here.

The full record

Status note
The date is STACK's groundbreaking announcement. The January 2025 air permit authorizes generators and does not say work is underway. Baxtel lists two buildings as operating and two as under construction; datacenterHawk's SVY01D page says both under construction and commissioned.
Power note
Campus total STACK states, including a 60 MW expansion. STACK's building figures add to 101 MW.
