The record, newest first

  1. Digital Realty lists a 37,500-square-foot site, SJC34, at 2820 Northwestern Parkway. Baxtel says it is space leased from Vantage in the CA11 building that came with the Telx purchase, and Data Center Map files it under this campus. (Digital Realty, undated; Baxtel, undated; Data Center Map, undated)

  2. Vantage's page lists six buildings on 21 acres, 77 MW of critical load and three 50 MW substations from Silicon Valley Power. (Vantage Data Centers, undated)

  3. DCD reported Vantage's existing CA12 and CA14 sites as being on Walsh Avenue. (DatacenterDynamics, Dec. 1, 2022)

  4. Vantage said a 15 MW addition finished the campus and brought it to 75 MW. (Vantage Data Centers, Sept. 6, 2018)

  5. Data Center Frontier reported that Vantage planned V5 on its campus off Walsh Avenue, a former Intel site, and V6 on land it had bought next door, for a combined 21 MW of IT capacity. (Data Center Frontier, May 25, 2016)

  6. The state posted a City of Santa Clara notice for a Vantage utility upgrade and data center expansion. It gives Walsh Avenue and Northwestern Parkway as cross streets and no street number. (State Clearinghouse (CEQAnet); City of Santa Clara lead agency, June 7, 2012)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Vantage's page gives 335,000 square feet for the campus, but its building figures add to more, so no square footage is shown here.
  • Vantage's page gives no specifications for CA12. A DCD report places CA12 and CA14 on Walsh Avenue.
  • Neither Vantage's page nor Digital Realty's explains SJC34; the lease detail comes from directories only. SJC34 is not counted as a separate campus.
  • The 2012 notice names no campus. We tie it to this one because its cross streets match the campus; no source says so directly. It lists parcels 216-28-101 and 118, which we did not check against the campus.
  • Vantage's other Santa Clara campuses are not covered by this record.
