The record, newest first

  1. Vantage's page lists 64 MW and Silicon Valley Power as the supplier. (Vantage Data Centers, undated)

  2. Data Center Map gives this month as the opening. Baxtel gives 2024 as the year built and calls the site fully operational. (Data Center Map, undated; Baxtel, undated)

  3. GlobeSt and DCD reported a $350 million loan to Vantage from Societe Generale, tied to the Walsh Avenue property. (GlobeSt, Nov. 29, 2022; DatacenterDynamics, Dec. 1, 2022)

  4. The California Energy Commission granted a small power plant exemption for the backup generators in docket 21-SPPE-01, leaving the project under local approval. (State Clearinghouse (CEQAnet); California Energy Commission lead agency, Aug. 12, 2022)

Conflicts and open questions

  • Sources differ on size. The state filing says about 468,000 square feet, DCD and GlobeSt say 479,000 and Vantage says more than 486,000.
  • Sources differ on the site. The state filing says 6.69 acres, DCD about seven and Vantage nearly eight.
  • Vantage's page still describes the building in future tense, so the operating status rests on the two directory listings.

The full record

Status note
Rests on two directories: Data Center Map gives an October 2024 opening and Baxtel calls it fully operational. Vantage's own page still uses future tense and gives no opening date; no government record we opened shows it open.
Power note
Critical IT capacity Vantage lists. The state filing describes a 100 MVA substation and backup generators, which are different measures.
