Who is behind it
The record, newest first
The town manager told the Town Council that the matter was not on its agenda because the land was already zoned I-2 and the Plan Commission decides such plans; a council member said no incentives had been negotiated. (Town of Plainfield, Jan. 12, 2026)
The Plan Commission approved the plat and development plans, the plat by a unanimous vote, after more than a dozen residents spoke against the project. (Town of Plainfield, Jan. 5, 2026; WRTV, Jan. 6, 2026; Town of Plainfield, undated; Data Center Dynamics, undated)
RadiusDC announced a 24 MW edge colocation campus at the site, starting with the Indy I building. (Data Center Dynamics, undated)
The town's Design Review Committee took up dockets DP-25-087 and DP-25-088 for the two buildings. (Town of Plainfield, Jan. 5, 2026)
RadiusDC's project summary described a single-story building of about 100,000 square feet and about 12 MW of critical load on Lot 18, next to a matching filing for Lot 19. (Town of Plainfield (applicant filing), Dec. 2, 2025)
Conflicts and open questions
- Acreage: the applicant's summary gives a 30.3-acre parent property, and trade reports give 31 acres.
- A related Board of Zoning Appeals variance on outdoor storage and operations is listed on the town's project page; its outcome was not found.
- No 2026 construction or incentive record was found after the January meetings.
- The trade report on the 24 MW announcement shows no date; January 2026 is inferred from its statement that the plan commission approval surfaced the week before.
