Section 219’s fate moves to closed-door House-Senate talks as Congress returns for its last weeks before Democrats take over
The Senate never debated its defense bill, which has its own version of the U.S.-Israel technology plan. When Congress returns Nov. 9, armed services leaders from both chambers will decide which version, if either, goes into the final bill. More than 30 Democrats want it taken out.
